Questions & Answers for you!
As a complimentary service to our wedding groups, we will customize a Wedding page on our Web site with pictures of the happy couple, date and time of wedding, photos and details of the resort and its activities and a list of guests confirmed to attend, as well as contact info for their official travel agency. This allows the bride and groom to concentrate on the wedding and the “fun stuff” while leaving the guests travel arrangements to their devoted travel agent.
Question: What exactly is a destination wedding?
Answer: When a couple decides they want to exchange their vows and celebrate their love in a dream location that they and their guests will have to trail to, they are deciding on a destination wedding. Destinaiton weddings often take place in a tropical area such as the Caribbean, Mexico or Hawaii. The entire wedding party will travel to the destination.
Question: Why plan a Destination Wedding?
Answer: There are many reasons. Many couples look to a destination wedding as a way to have a unique and memorable wedding experience. Often, when looking at a guest list, many people will have to travel from far away states or countries. A Destination Wedding allows them to travel somewhere exotic and fabulous, where they can also enjoy a relaxing vacation.
Some couples are in love with the destination and want to spend the most special day of their lives in their idea of paradise. More coupes decide upon a destination wedding if they care from different areas of the country and do not want to decide against one hometown for another. So they opt for a location that will, from now on, be somewhere special to them. One of the most common reasons to choose a destination wedding is to save money. Destination weddings often allow couples to save more than $20,000!
Question: How far in advance should I plan my Destination Wedding?
Answer: Destination Weddings take considerable planning and research, and the best properties and accommodations often book far in advance of the wedding date. The earlier you begin the planning, the greater likelihood you will be able to book the perfect property for you and your guests.
Since destination weddings involve travel arrangements, planning should begin at lead 8 months in advance, and planning up to one year out is not uncommon. This allows guests to properly budget and plan for the trip Your guests are making an investment to be a part of your wedding, therefore the more time they have to plan, the better.
